Guppy emerges from the office, rubbing his eyes and checks on Amanda. He holds her hand.
"Come on Amanda. Come back to us."
He sighs and notes down her obs, before heading towards the door. He needs to find Hank.

"I don't really understand it. The first I knew of it some guy was carrying her down the stairs. He said he was a vampire that was feeding off her life force, because she was immortal and could let him have it safely. But she gave up her immortality for a test, on some sort of quest. Sir Alanna gave her some life force last night, which brought her back from the brink."
He rubs his forehead. "Since then she's been in a deep coma, slightly bradicardic, otherwise no physical signs. Sir Alanna told me to keep her resting, and that there was nothing else to do except find more healers that can donate life force."
He takes a deep breath and tries to calm himself down. "I've been doing half hourly obs all night. GCS has been three throughout. No change otherwise."

"Oh, amanda. Her weird sense of ethics will get her someday. But it wont be today if I can help it."
He thinks for a long moment.
"Not much we can do physically, except to keep her steady adn stable as the machines will let her be. And it's time for me to hit the books and see if I cant find anything that can help her."
He nonetheless exmines her thoroughly, from head to toe, hoping there is something he can find that will help. When he is done he shakes his head, and sighs.
"Nothing I can see. All we can do now is wait, unless we can turn up a healer who know how to fix this or tech that will do the same."

"I've been on to Barry. He said we should try Tim, Svava, Nita Callahan and Raven. May also be worth asking Eska if she's in, but I haven't seen her in months. I'll hit the books myself, but I don't think life force is even covered."
He gently takes her limp hand again. "I'm not losing two good friends in one week."
no subject
"We wont lose her. If all elzse fails, if her pulse and rhythm strt failing, we can always put her into a stasis field. That will preserve her... until we can find a way to heal her."
His voice isnt that hopeful, but it also is firm.

"I can stay, for a while. I won't be missed back home for a few hours, which gives me a few days here. If..."
He takes another deep breath.
Get a grip on yourself. Be strong for Amanda.
"... how would I activate the stasis field if you aren't here?"

He eyes her.
"This is the Infirmary. I am going to have to ask you to leave unless you have business here."

She kneels by Amanda with a tear in her eye before looking at Hank again, "what happened to her? Was it another immortal?"
no subject
He shakes his head.
"No, it wasnt. But, ah, no offense, I generally dont talk about a patient's condition without their permission."
He eyes them both, his stance slightly shifted.

"I'm not entirely sure. She gave life force to a vampire, but she'd lost her immortality. We're trying to find a way to get it back."

"Would you like a few moments alone with her? She may still be able to hear you."
