In one corner of the infirmary, Bonnie is resting with a new arrival.

The baby opens her eyes, and peers around...

"That would make things awkward," Father Harman agrees.

"We'll see anyhow." Bonnie says. "It don't have to be right away.

"Would you like to hold her?"

"Wouldn't that worry her?" Harman asks. "She is very small."

[is_the_motion]

"Only if you dunk her upside down in water." Bonnie says.

[witchfinder_general]

"I'm not likely to do that," Harman says.

He holds out his arms for her.

Bonnie carefully hands Billie over. The baby peers up at him with little bleary eyes.

"Hello, little Billie Rae," Harman says, looking into her eyes.

[is_the_motion]

Billie looks back, and gives another little yawn.

"Cain't believe she got so much hair." Bonnie says.

[witchfinder_general]

"Shouldn't she?" Harman says.

[is_the_motion]

"I don't know, I just expected her to be bald." Bonnie laughs.

[witchfinder_general]

"Even I know that not all babies are bald," Father Harman says, smiling.

[is_the_motion]

"But she was four weeks early, I thought the hair grew last."

[witchfinder_general]

"Sorry, no idea about that," Harman says. "I have somebody in my team for that sort of think, and I usually trust her."

[is_the_motion]

"I knew she'd be a redhead at least." Bonnie says. "Given both her ma and pa are."

[witchfinder_general]

"And she definitely is," Father Harman says. "Recessive genes coming through in a textbook example."

[is_the_motion]

Suddenly, Billie's little face screws up, and she starts to cry.

"Oh, someone's hungry." Bonnie says.

Harman quickly hands her back to Bonnie.

"Then I should leave you to it," he says.

[is_the_motion]

"Thank you, and fer visitin'." Bonnie says, accepting the baby back.

Harman smiles at them both and leaves, trying to not do so hurriedly.-
