Jason, having been unconscious since Saturday night, has started to come around.
Nat is curled around him in the bed, sleeping and helping with the healing.
Guppy (or later Zhaan) is nearby, keeping an eye on any visitors.

"Jason, it's Guppy, you're in the infirmary." he says, taking the oxygen mask off him for a moment so he can see how he's doing. "Can you open your eyes for me?"
no subject
His face screws up into a faint wince. After a few moments, he's able to pull his eyes blearily open.

He gets Jason a glass of water, and tries to raise the head of the bed without dislodging Nat. Not entirely succeeding, he tries propping him up with an extra pillow to get him more upright.
"Here, have some water." he says gently.

It appears to have given him a cup of 100% froth.

His eyelids pull open blearily and he looks at her.

"You gave us quite a scare there, Jay." Her tone is soft, edged in the worry she'd been feeling since Nat had found him.

His arm wraps around the wolf, and he nuzzles close, letting out a soft, long sigh.
Everything about himself feels horribly bruised, but he has Jason.
He still has Jason.
no subject
"I'm sorry, Nat," he whispers.
no subject
Jason was sorry an awful lot lately.

This one's eyes reflect what little light there is, as it keeps watch.

"I was wondering when I'd see you, brother."
no subject
"Ah, he lives."
Yrael's reply is equally soft, affection mingling with accustomed concern in his tone.

He won't say anything until Jason does, if he does. For now it's just as reassuring to watch him breathe, and know that for a second longer, he's alive.

His eyes open and he looks at Charlie, then closes them again. "Hey."

After asking around, she finally gets directions to the infirmary and makes her way over to Jason's bed.
She doesn't say or do anything to announce her presence. Just sits down in a chair beside his bed, watching him quietly.
no subject
"Hey," he offers softly.
The small voice in the back of his head is shouting insistently that she can get him what he needs, but he's trying hard to ignore it.

He leans in the door-frame, quietly, to see if Jason is awake, and whether he would speak to Teja.
no subject
He sees Teja standing there and there's a moment of panic as he wonders what new hell Teja's about to unleash on him.
A quiet voice in his mind reminds him of the joking at the party, and he forces himself to calm slightly, sending all the nervous, frustrated energy to his hands. And they in turn take it, clenching and unclenching, rubbing their thumbs over their knuckles, and wriggling their fingers.
"Hey."

"Hi. I guess you're Jason? I'm Malcolm Crowe."
He offers a hand.
no subject
"Yeah," he says quietly. "Guppy said I should talk to you."
For all this mess he likes Guppy well enough, so he can talk to this guy if Guppy thinks he should.
