Autor is in the infirmary, having bolted here ever since he heard the fearsome roar. He knows people will be injured, and hopes no one will be killed. He paces the length of the infirmary, trying to calm his racing heart.
He glimpsed the creature, so knows that most injuries will involve burns. He has the kolto patches ready.

He may not be doing his 'What was the worst that could happen' homework today.
"We need to know where it came from too."

"No you won't." He says. "The adrenaline will get you through. We'll panic and get drunk together after."

Autor heads to the sink to scrub his hands pink and don gloves.

Barry enters the infirmary with Daniel; the two of them supporting an injured Wraith between them.

The ex-soldier is already opening kolto patches.

"He's going to need to feed at some point," says Daniel, "If no one else has been inoculated, I'll do it."
Beat, "Also, you might need restraints... these guys are really strong, even when they are injured."
no subject
"Restraints? I don't think he's likely to freak out. He was fine when I picked him up." And Barry did so quite suddenly and without warning.
Looking at Guppy, Barry says, "He's an alien." Obviously. "I don't know if it'll help any, but there's one of his ships downstairs in the garage. The guy told me before that he was living on it, and that it was alive, so it might have information on how to help him."

"Okay, I'm putting these on if you actually think we're going to get hurt." He says, applying only the minimum. "But they come off the second we know he's not going to freak out and we're not doing anything to this guy beyond immediate life saving care without him calming down enough to give consent. If he panics, we stop. If he attacks, we get Security."
He gets the scanner out and does a provisional scan.

"You know," he says, "I'm going to go help that guy with the injured, let me know when he's awake."
Cause he's going to be hungry and super grumpy.
no subject
"Right now I'm just looking for people in trouble out there. If I find anymore injured, I'll bring them back here."
no subject
He glances to Guppy, following his lead on the Guide situation. "What does the scanner say?"
no subject
He looks at the scan. "There's nothing life threatening, it's probably the pain that's knocked him out." he taps a few buttons. "We have a bit of data on his normal physiology, let's give him a hypospray of pain relief and see if it brings him round."
no subject
He might as well do what he can, after 15 years or so of working in the SGC he's become a pretty good medic.

That smile turns into a slightly startled expression, then a bit of a pout when Guppy says his name. "Dude."
He gestures at his mask and suit, "It's 'The Streak'."
And yes, it's a terrible name, Barry is working on it but, secret identity, man.
Barry let's it go rather quickly, though, in favor of the much more importantly pressing; namely, giant fire monster.
"Thank you guys for taking care of people. Daniel, if I run across anyone who needs basic first aid I'll come find you."
With that, Barry pops off a salute and leaves the infirmary in a red blurred whoosh.

The ex-soldier retrieves the hypospray painkillers and administers a dose to Guide, spraying down his lava-embedded shoulder. "We can't treat him until he comes around, right?"
no subject
"Okay, he didn't tell me it was secret, or if he did, I forgot, so just forget that and don't write it in your database." he says to Autor, turning back to the job in hand. "And no, we can't do anything else until he comes around, unless he deteriorates."
no subject
"Yeah, you might want to rethink that," says Daniel washing his hands before he grabs a medkit and heads out the door. Good thing he was in his off world uniform.
Guide starts to come around, the voices in the room echoing in his ears. The medicine dulling his mind for a moment he wonders where he is. Then the memory of the battle and the injury flood back and the confusion and injury of his fight. His eyes fly open and with a roar his tries to sit up and manages to break one of the restraints. Thankfully, it's just a leg.

He searches for any mind to connect to, a comfort in this confusion.

He lets Autor lead, for the moment.

"We won't hurt you. But we have to put our safety first, or we can't help anyone."

The work takes hours, even with Guppy's assistance, and by the time Autor saws out the last chunk with the scalpel, he's exhausted. He starts applying kolto patches and gets out the skin fuser, turning to Guppy for instructions.
no subject
Autor's arms must be getting tired by now. Guppy shows him how to use the fuser.
"All done. Feel free to rest here as long as you need."
no subject
"I must feed," he says bluntly.

With a nod to Guppy, Autor strips of his gloves and goes to find Daniel.

He cleans up. "Do you need any more pain relief Guide?"
