Curtis and Edgar, initial treatment and visiting hours
It's been a rough day for Curtis and Edgar. Fortunately, the Milliways infirmary is definitely set up to handle hypothermia and exposure.

"I saw it", he says with a nod. "But it didn't seem a very good time to get underfoot."

"And many of you needing to be in here as soon as possible", he agrees. "Did the weather change so suddenly?"

"It's spring time", he agrees. "Even in the far north of Britain, a sharp change to snowfall like that is unusual."

"Yes." He nods. "Snow is hardly unusual, but not often without warning."

"One of the long, long list." He smiles wryly. "Is there anything you need, that I can bring you?"

"Ah." He looks awkward. "Nitwit is - in the paddock outside the stables now. She's fine, all the animals are, but they need a little... rebuilding."

"The fire", he confirms with a nod. "We can only be thankful it was set in empty stalls."

"Not yet. I understand Security are looking into it, and that there's a quite formidable woman in charge now."
He hasn't met X, but Javert called her competent. That says it all.

"Hope I'm out of here by the time they catch the bastard," he mutters.

"Don't get yourself arrested as well", Athelstan warns, only half-lightly - because he can understand that urge.

"As I say", he returns to the previous line of conversation, "she wasn't hurt and she's in the paddock with the horses - but of course I'll visit her."

He shifts in bed, wincing a little, and stretches to set down his empty mug on the bedside table.

"How are you feeling?" Athelstan asks, a little worried by the wincing - because as far as he knew, Edgar was only suffering from the cold, not injured besides that.

"Did you hurt them? Or is it just the blood coming back into them that still hurts?"

Athelstan nods. "Then I'm sure they will be. The doctors here can do wonderful things."
