Zhaan directs the young woman to the infirmary. When they're both inside, she shuts the door behind them. "There. Before we do anything else, let us get introductions out of the way. Obviously Guppy told you who I was, but not that you don't have to call me doctor. Just Zhaan." She smiles. 'Doctor' isn't the right title for her anyway, but it's not a detail worth quibbling over. "What is your name?"

"I am Jordan." No last names for now, the idea of messing with her arm again makes Jordan skittish.

Deep breath, and right into business: "I need to upgrade the neural interface of my arm. Check if the anchoring points are not messing up, and... well, redo it all."

"But I am really not looking forward to doing one-handed self-surgery again." Yes, again.

Zhaan briefly glances at the arm. "I should warn you that my skill with cybernetics is limited. I can repair basic mechanical connections, provided I have the schematics, and I can treat injuries caused by equipment fault. But I am not an expert in the field."

"I am an expert in cybernetics. I am not a surgeon."

"I lucked out doing it the first time, but now... redoing it could mean nerve damage, and most likely weeks of going one-handed while the new implants healed."

"I see. You want my assistance, in case the procedure does not go as anticipated," Zhaan guesses.

"Sort of. I want a doctor with a great understanding of human anatomy and some experience with cybernetics and electronics... I am willing to teach that part, too." No sense risking things in the name of her mild paranoia.

"Someone I can trust to be there and do the surgery part, while I do the electronic part. And after, I will need help while it heals."

"I can help you, then," Zhaan says, "but I will need instruction, and possibly some schematics."

"I can do that." Jordan sighs and nods. "How much you know about biochemistry?"

"A great deal, actually."

"Oh-kay..." Jordan sighs and nods, she is clearly nervous. "I can bring you the schematics and such, and you can start studying them? And when you are done, we can set up a date."

"I've found that the best way to contact someone quietly in this place is to leave a note with the Bar," Zhaan suggests, "although if you would prefer that I contact you by a different means, let me know."

She nods again. "It works for me. I will leave the schematics with Bar and you can tell me when you are ready."
