(no subject)

Hank McCoy, finishing an inventory of the infirmary supplies, heads back out towards the main Bar, his eyes glancing across the big room. Some days he is amazed at what happens here, and some days it feels just like home.

The description had been pretty accurate and the doctor is not hard to spot. Athos approaches quietly and says, 'Monsieur? Would I be right in thinking you are the doctor of this place?'

'I was told I should come and see you monsieur, about an injury I carry at present.' His voice is quiet and calm, no hint of pain. His arm, however, is bent and held close to his stomach so as not to move the shoulder much and the arm of his shirt is tattered and bloodstained. Bandages are visible through the hole obviously crudely cut by a knife.

He laughs drily and sits. 'I have fallen, twice in fact. It is an old wound by the standards of this bar, having been healed upon my first arrival by some witchcraft. When I returned to my own world though, it reopened and I'm afraid I rather over-exerted myself, causing it to bleed again.'

He'd been pierced through the shoulder with a blade and the thing won't stay closed. He's getting rather tired of feeling he's going to fall from loss of blood.

'It is the year sixteen twenty six and I currently reside in Paris, France. Forgive me monsieur, I have forgotten my manners - my name is Athos.'

[OOC: Healed to a scar would be wonderful, thanks! And apologies for browser issues giving you the wrong pup, grrr. *smites it*]

'It is well. I have seen the magic of this place and as a surgeon, I will place my trust in you.'

Besides, if the good doctor tries anything not designed to heal, he'll find himself dealing with a swordsman just as adept with his left hand as his right. But he doesn't believe that will be an issue here. Raph had recommended the man and he had seemed trustworthy.

He looks at it without fear, then looks up to the doctor's face. 'Oui, quite ready.'

The pain is sharp at first and he blanches a little at the initial pain. But it soon begins to ease somewhat and eventually there's nothing but a dull ache to remind him of the pain.

He smiles a little and stretches his arm out, testing the muscles of the shoulder. And it continues to ache but it's easily borne and a thousand times better than it just had been.

'My thanks Doctor, it is a marvellous device. I feel quite whole again.'

Athos smiles, takes the shirt gratefully and bows in return. 'The enemies have already been dealt with monsieur, I assure you. And my thanks once more. I am in your debt, if there is anything you should require of me, please, do not hesitate to ask.'

And with that he leaves, heading for Bar to get a key for another stay.
