Later that night, once everyone has gone except Will, Malcolm stops by to check on Kate. After making sure all is well with Kate, he silently drapes a blanket over her sleeping companion and heads back to the bar.

It would be many hours the following day before she would stir at all.

Not wanting to disturb either her or Will, he moves forward quietly, looking at her moniter and notes.

"It's okay Kate, you're in Milliways Infirmary."

"What? I am?"

There's a tram rushing. Dark, with the lights of the city outside flashing as they zoom past.
"There's a dilemma." The tram was empty. Mandalore is now sprawled out in one of the seats, in full armour. "We're going to crash."
"Happens a lot."
"I know. There's something winding. In the engines. Poisonous."
"Metaphorical."
"Yes." Mandalore agrees, gravely. "Also, we're being driven by a nerf. That happens less, I find."
Atton catches something out of the corner of his eye, swings to the window, where a face briefly pressed up against the window vanishes. When he turns back to face the front of the tram, Kate is standing in front of him, with something scaley sliding about her. She mutters something in a dialect of native Kazic that Atton doesn't recognise.
"Ban eil mi 'tuigsaina?" He asks, slowly. Kate just stares at him blankly. After a moment, she repeats what she said. It's no more understandable.
Something's banging on the tram door, screaming to be let in. Atton diligently ignores it, as Guppy wanders up behind him.
"Clearly, we are dealing with a case of most acute insanity. I think the only solution here is electroshock therapy."
"That'd make sense." Mandalore agrees, from nearby.
"Ban eil mi 'tuigsaina." Kate murmurs, slowly. Nearby, at the door, the banging grows louder and louder and louder ...
Atton snaps back to reality, abruptly, eyes momentarily flaring gold before settling back to normal. He wanders over to Kate and Will, slumping down next to them to wait.

Still sore and tired as she woke up.

See. His father was a mad man and said man had taken Kate from the bar. Not only that but he had taken Will and Atton as well. Lord knew what else he had been up to..
So he sat there quietly telling himself that if she didn't wake soon he'd leave. Dalt was waiting outside his door.

"...Will?" Her eyes slowly opened.
