Ryoko tries not to turn her head to look around, as that hurts quite a lot. If there's a chair or an unoccupied bed in her limited range of sight, that's where she's headed, alternately leaning on Ben and trying to help him.
Watson helped her onto an empty bed, taking good care not to agitate or further exacerbate her wounds.
The bandages and the white cloth they were holding in place were removed again carefully, the light of the infirmary making it easier to examine what he hadn't been able to in the Bar.
Ben draws a chair over, and sits down beside the bed, as close to Ryoko as possible. He is very worried about her now, but lets the doctor do his job...
The wounds are bound to look odd to one used to normal human anatomy. Something like that doesn't usually heal partway then stop. Bandages and rest are necessary, possibly stitches at the throat.
Pain is hardly a new thing for Ryoko; what's new is that it's still there.
Watson uncovered a set from somewhere, trying not to show the clear surprise in seeing a wound that had clearly been very recent, but had already recovered an amount that would be unthinkable for a human.
He worked quietly as he slipped on some gloves and began suturing the skin together.
Having seen the note (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/18726197.html?#cutid1), Miniver ends up bumbling into the infirmary worriedly. He drags a chair over to Ryoko's bed and perches backwards on it nervously.
This place makes him twitchy. He hasn't been here since he was seeing crazy shit trying to crawl all over him.
Ben is laying down in one of the beds, and... well, he does not look so well. He has a black eye, busted lip, and his nose berely escaped being broken. There might be other injuries out of sight.
Ginny walks over to him and she puts a hand over her mouth to keep from crying out. She's too used to seeing friends and family like this. It brings back bad memories trying to blink back the tears before he notices her.
Ginny looks at him she can't help the tears that slide down as she gets closer to him taking his hand in both of hers. "What happened?" She whispers. She's shaking but tries to play it off as just cold.
Cyrus has only been here once before. And were he just looking around, he might study the marvels and wonders of future tech. But as before, he's not here to look but because someone is hurt.
"I got a note from Doctor Watson...what happened?" Cyrus is rather surprised at how tired she looks. Even when she's stone drunk, she looks better than this.
"You got time for a long story?" A gesture to the chair at the bedside. She swallows hard, grimacing a bit at the pain in her stitches. At least talking normally doesn't hurt anymore.
Having seen the note Amanda doesn't hesitate to leave her books on the Bar and she rushes into the infirmary, she knows where it is though she has never entered before and doesn't know ettiquette, "Ben" she calls out.
"Sort of a long story." But he will tell it anyway.
"Ryoko..." He indicates the green-haired woman sleeping on the other bed. "...and her mother, Washuu, are from another universe... Washuu is a scientist, makes all kinds of amazing gadgets. They had trouble before with a guy named Kagato, who imprisioned them for a while, but they escaped and got rid of him."
Ben lets out a sigh. "Yeah. Washuu was doing some experience, and for that, she made an AI... a computer program of Kagato, sort of a copy, to test his reactions to stuff, I guess?" How to explain computers to someone from the dark ages?
"Anyway, the Kagato-AI was too close to the real Kagato: the thing took over the lab, and trapped Washuu, and tried to trap me and Ryoko when we went there looking for her."

Talking isn't quite as painful as it had been, so she even greets him. "Hi."

He worries because he cares.

She holds up a bandaged wrist and looks at it a minute. Probably a minute too long.
