Atton is patched up and hooked to a drip for fluid replacement. The scanner keeps a close eye on him.
As does Guppy, who flits between office and infirmary all night, observing and checking. At this exact moment he's catching a bit of brief restless sleep on the office sofa.
[ooc: Visiting post for Atton. Guppy's only half asleep if anyone wants to chat to him.]

The patient in the bed at least partly explains that situation, though.
Moving quietly so as not to disturb him, she looks into the office as well, and sees Guppy on the couch. With a shake of her head she gets a folded blanket from one of the cabinets and drapes it over him.
Zhaan decides to stay in the infirmary, rather than the booth outside, so that she can keep an eye on Guppy's patient.

"Who're you?"
no subject
"Zhaan," she says. "I'm one of the infirmary doctors, and a friend of Guppy's."

Atton has one very small, very worried visitor peeking her head tentatively in the door.

"Hey. Did you bring cookies?"
no subject
"Of course I brought cookies, Atton. What d'you take me for?"
And in an interval something on the order of seconds she's by his bedside with a pignic basket full of freshly baked cookies. Mm.
"You're going to get a hug now," she informs him, "unless someone tells me in the next three seconds it would be medically unwise."

And then spots the basket.
"Will!" he says quietly. "Atton is in no state to be consuming alcohol, and I don't particularly want you drinking it in here either. Give it to him after he's discharged."
no subject
"Don't listen to him," He's gone back to sounding drunk. "He's just ..." He has to pause for a moment to gather his thoughts. "Jealous 'cause I'm getting free grog and he ain't."

... where she stops. Which is a bit of an anticlimax, but she can't really fling herself at him when he's all smashed up.
"... okay, you're all bruised. But if you weren't, right now, I would be beating the hell out of you, Att," she informs him breathlessly. "Jesus fucking Christ!"
no subject
And then relaxes, because he's sure Steph won't actually beat him up, and lies back.
"Anyone hitting my patient will be dealt with by security." he calls through the door, adjusting his pillow. "Even if they are security or people I like."

She can't do anything about the soft chiming of the feathers, though.
The Gorgon, wearing glasses, doesn't say a word, just peers in.
