Sooraya didn't wake up for some hours after the surgery. She was confused, at first, when she did regain consciousness sometime in the middle of the night.
Kevin Ford's presence slumped in a chair, dozing, and then Guppy, helped her
place where she was. Milliways. She thought she'd seen the door during the fight, but...those last few minutes had been more than a little chaotic.
Well, if she'd needed medical attention, she could safely assume she wasn't
dead. The thought made her smile briefly. Still something left for her, though
what was ahead wasn't going to be easy.
Kevin woke, too, as she stirred. He glanced down at her, not saying anything,
but took her hand carefully in his for a second. He still wore gloves, she noted, and made a mental note to ask when he was in from. But later.
Guppy stayed overnight, and while she didn't complain, she'd been relieved to have him there. Both of them, really.
Tired, though! It was difficult to stay awake for more than a few minutes at a time, if there wasn't someone talking.

This visit was at least a little more eventful, as he'd spotted a patient that he'd manage to get several lingering glances at because he likes to be pry sometimes. Vague familiarity aside, he just likes to stare.

She manages a wry smile, looking back at him. For her, it's been only perhaps a week since the last time she saw him and Ryan.
"Doing all right?" she asks, her voice hoarse but clear. She indicates his knee with a vague gesture.

"Not as badly as you, I'd say."

"Even so, it was an impressive show. Am I to assume you've had experience in werewolf culling?"

"For you, how long has it been since? I went home not long after;
only a few days passed."

Sooraya can understand the wanting to deny only too well.
Even for X-Men, there comes a point when they just want to
crawl off somewhere and stop thinking about protecting those that, unlike Milliways patrons, tend to hate them for it.
But want or not, they don't.

Then, within moments, he seems to be waving it off in another attempt at mass denial, "I've lived my life in a state of constant paranoia, looking over my shoulder for one extra person makes little difference."

"Sorry. Still a bit out of it...I hate hospital beds. But c'est la vie."

"Que sera, sera," he agrees vaguely, furrowing his brows with curiosity as he watches her. "What happened?"

Just tired, mostly." She shuts her eyes for a few seconds, reopens them.

["Good night. Allah's blessings go with you and yours.]" Fatigue has the
result of making her slip into her older language. Hopefully, the tone if not the words are understandable.
