Guppy is pretty sick of being one of the infirmary's most frequent patients. Well at least he will be when he wakes up.

For now, he sleeps, made drowsy by the combined effects of smoke and medication. He still has the oxygen mask on, but he's already looking better. The monitor shows good signs of recovery even at this early stage.

He'd like company when he wakes up.

Sara's received a copy of the note Dr. Huxtable left at the bar. She's in the infirmary now, looking over Guppy.

He's completely out of it for a while, sleeping like a rag doll. Only when the gas an drugs begin to wear off does he stir as his sleep, as usual, descends back into nightmares. Complete with the latest addition of scary people.

Sara takes his hand, rubbing it. "Shhhh, Guppy, it's okay. You're safe now. You're safe."

He whimpers, squeezing her hand. His other moves up to the dressing on his head.

"Can't get out... he won't let me go"

"You're out. You're out and he's not here."

Sam arrives, having received Cliff's note with his dinner. The dinner stayed where it was, but he's brought his coffee, which is strong and black and probably smell-able from a mile away.

He's not quite sure what the hell he can do, but he's here. So he just stands nearby and watches and mutters various dire curses, albeit very quietly.

He's completely out of it at first - the drugs and smoke had him practically out cold for several hours.

But after a while the smell of coffee catches his attention.

"Langu'ge Sam." he mutters with his eyes still closed.

Sam grins dryly.

"Oh good, you're awake. Sort of."

Beat. "And I think I'm entitled to swear, given the state of you. What the hell'd you do this time, Guppy?"

He moans very slightly, then opens his eyes. He looks at Sam for a moment, then takes the mask off.

"Di'nt do it on purpose. I was sent into a building. Got trapped. Arsonist took offence to me treating a patient. "

"Oh," followed by another stream of curse words, "-typical."

"Trust you, Guppy." He shakes his head at him, smiling slightly. "Are you okay to talk?"

Bar gave Knox the note, and he figured that after the hard time he gave Guppy about Shufti, a visit might be a good thing.

But even with Guppy looking better than he did, Knox didn't expect the doctor to look so haggard. He sits and waits.

He sleeps for quite a while, exhausted and drugged up as well as the fumes.

And then after a while opens his eyes and looks around with a 'What the hell am I doing here?' expression.

"Hey, doc. No offense, but you look awful. But it seems you're getting good care here." HeE gives s cockeyed smile.

Blink. Blink.

He sits up a bit, wincing slightly, and takes off the mask.

"Hey Knox. And yeah, I feel terrible, thanks."

"Bardropped a note my way, from another doctor. Figured, you could use the company. Hosptials are no place for sick people." He gives a smirk.

"You mind if I ask what happened?" Reporter's curiosity always kicks in.

Ginny has gotten the note from bar as she walsk in looking over him leaning her head to the side never been in a muggle treatment place before

He's sleeping, for now, looking certainly worse for wear.

Numerous monitors bleep quietly in the background, making sure he doesn't deteriorate whilst nobody's looking.

She looks around at the beeps confused a bit about them

After a moment he stirs and opens his eyes.

April got the note, too.

Must mean she's decided Guppy's a friend. Which is always nice.

No one's in there when she pokes her head in, and she frowns worriedly.

Sits in a chair next to the bed.

It's not really a conscious thing, but after a moment or two, she's slipped her hand into Guppy's and is holding it gently. She'll stay a few minutes and see if he wakes up. If not, she'll leave him a note.

It takes a couple of minutes, but then he squeezes the hand slightly and opens his eyes.

April smiles at him. "Hey, you. Look like you got the stuffing beat outta you."

Ignore the squirming lump in the big pocket in her sweatshirt. It's your imagination.

He blinks slightly, then takes the mask off.

"Yeah. I think."

Simon's only just seen Dr. Huxtable's note.

He's very quiet when he steps into the infirmary, in case Dr. Sandhu is sleeping.

He is, though not particularly peacefully. Repeatedly dreaming that the ceiling is falling in and that someone is trying to kill you will do that to a man.
