Aubrey follows slowly. The slowness is partly because he doesn't want to be here, and partly because he's in pain. Though he doesn't say much. He watches every one warily.
The scanner does not comment at the eyeing, perhaps feeling it would be unwise, and, nonetheless, is run over him. The doctor holding it nods.
"Looks like some torn and bruised muscles and tissue. Scanner specifies a vampire, unknown variety. "
The other doctor nods.
"We can begin the healing process and speed it up for you, but since we havent seen yopur specific kind before, we cant fully heal it here. To attempt to do so would do more harm than good."
That doctor moves away to prepare several hyposprays as the first doctor moves behind Aubrey.
"I can remove this now and then begin treatment. Would you care for pain mediciation of any kind?"
"The gauze back here. With a wound like this, it will hurt coming off. It helps in the short run, but when it comes off, you will feel it. I am going to inject the medication right next to the wound, where it will spread faster. Once I have the wound cleaned and the healing begun, I will bandage it up again and inject you with what is called Syraphyn, a general healing stimulant that speeds up the healing abilities of patients. It is mild and has been used successfully with ten different varieties of vampires with no ill effects."
His hands were gently as he examined the wounded area.
"If you are ready, I will begin."
The other doctor brings over a tray with gauze, pads, a water sluice, three small sanitary towels, a surgical blade, and the two hyposprays, among other small items.
The doctor presses home the first hypospray and sends the fast acting pain killer into Aubrey's system.
Then he methodically but quickly cuts away the gause and wrapping from the wound. Following this, he cleans it and packs it with antibiotics, slowly stimulating the regrowth of cells, and starting the healing right away, reknitting muscles and tendons to act so as to allow them to heal right.
Finally, he pressed home the second hypospray, containing the healing stimulant and stepped back with the tray.
"You should be good to go, now. Move your arm carefully, but it should work a lot better and respond better. You will need to give it days to recover it's strength, but it should heal about five times faster than normal."
"This is Benepartyl. Take mone of these four times a day, if the pain is enough. They will make you sleepy for a little while. Otherwise, you are free to go."
Aubrey takes the bottle, eying it for a moment before making it disappear in a pocket. He gives a small nod to the doctor. "Thanks."
And in a speed close to his normal vampire speed, slowed down by what he was given though, he wraps his good arm around Mal and brings them to his room. (http://ather-fledgling.livejournal.com/5037.html)

Well, it's not much disturbed by the two vampires, Mal leading Aubrey.
"Can I get a hand over here?"

"Bring the patient over here to this bed, please."
Another doctor nods to them.
"What exactly is wrong?"
no subject
"Got knifed."
no subject
There's really no convincing you to just go upstairs?
To the doctor is adds, "Under the right shoulder blade."

Nope.
And then she steps back to let the doctors do their work.

He's watching the doctor with the hyposprays. He's never been to a doctor. "Remove what? Pain medication would be good."

Hey, it's not like she can do anything.

So do I get a treat for being such a good boy?
He gives the doctors a slow nod, as he takes in what the doctor said he was going to do. "Any time. Sooner you start the sooner you'll be done."

She crosses her arms and smirks.

You to come play back home. Though I should wait unil I'm fully healed for that. For now, you curled up next to me while I rest.
He slowly curled and uncurled his fingers and moved his arm carefully. And nodded almost approvingly. "Great. Thanks."

She nods her thanks at the doctors.

One brings forth a bottle with some pills inside.
"This is Benepartyl. Take mone of these four times a day, if the pain is enough. They will make you sleepy for a little while. Otherwise, you are free to go."
