Steph's slept most of the past two days, drifting in and out of semi-wakefulness, enough to hold a few disjointed conversations - occasionally with the wall, yes, but conversations nonetheless. This time, though, something's different; she's still woozy and easily confused, but things are making more sense. Someone's glued up the cracks in the world - it's holding steady.
She moves, cautiously, and although it still hurts deep in her chest, it isn't unbearable any more. She doesn't feel quite so much like a train hit her. (A car, or a small truck, maybe. But not a train.) When her eyes open this time, they stay open, curious and alert.
It's a nice change.

Of course, he doesn't care.

no.
"You," Steph says, sounding tired. "Should've known."

Mel has a broken hand. Ask her how!
no subject
"Hi." Steph looks her over, thoughtfully, and squints at the hand in question. "...Senior Squeakins get rough?"

A gentle, soft voice from a nearby chair,
"too much time in places like this, do we not?"
He isn't staying at the House of Arch these days. Just. Around. Arithon, some clothing, his spare lyranthe. Currently, though, he's in the Infirmary because he feels that someone should be, and its a better place than elsewhere. Arithon doesn't sleep much.
So he's here, and he's been watching, and he brought something to amuse her. A box of shadows, and color, and poking at the delicate strands creates music that won't be out of tune.

And Blodwen Rowlands is going DOWN for it. ...Just as soon as Steph gets out of bed.

He says with a faint shrug and a wrinkle between his eyes; he doesn't remember what happened. Not because Blodwen did something to him, but because he's not ready to do so yet,
"My kath'asan, the pensti'asan'ka Rachel, helped me find my way out."
He isn't a healer. If its worse than a simple fracture, please don't ask him for help. And he loathes machines. But he's here because Steph is something of a friend, and something of a student (if only because her piano skills really need the help), and everything of a Lady; and Arithon would die for the Ladies,
"Alas that I can not help you so easily."

Having a really, really good cry will do that to you.
She wakes up slowly to find the infirmary quiet, Melou gone from his bed, and herself a little disoriented. It's sometime in the early afternoon, and Angela gets up, then sees that Steph is awake and sitting up.
"Hey. You look better."
no subject
"I feel better. You looked comfy over there."
no subject
"I haven't slept that long in months. Weird. What's the doctor say about you?"
She comes over and runs her hand through sleep-tousled hair.

He's the spitting image of Melou, except for a few scars. Still, seeing Melou asleep, Melehan makes a face and then looks around for a chair.

"You must be the evil twin," she observes, and then wrinkles her nose. "The eviller twin."

Svava does not like the Infirmary.
She enters, carrying a huge bouquet of flowers from both the greenhouse and the garden outside, arrainged in a large vase. Something has to be done to add a bit more cheer to the place, and she sets it where both Steph and Zuko can see it, before turning to Steph's bed.
"Steph?" Quietly. "Are you awake?"

Zuko hasn't been awake enough for her to talk to yet. She's starting to get worried all over again.

He's familiar with 'very tired' right now, himself.

So it is with bags under his eyes that Ichigo makes his way over, happy to see her awake. This is evident by the slight decrease in his usual scowl.
"Hey there bird-girl, these nuts taking good care of you?"
no subject
...Yeah, Steph's back.
