Simon's in the infirmary, running a quick routine check of the inventory. It's not the day for it, but he knows Bar wasn't working over the weekend, and wanted to make sure that hasn't affected the emergency supplies.

Simon's not quite one of them, but he'll do.

Doesn't quite step in.
"I was looking for a couple of people, actually - Doctor Guppy, but I don't think he's here, and a man who came in last night? He was badly hurt, it looked like he fell."
Hesitates.
"And...um...could I maybe ask you about something?"

Softly.
"I just wondered if you're allowed to give out sleeping stuff."

Read: hasn't slept for more then two hours at a time since she got back.
One hand rises to trace bright acid burns on her face.

"If it's residual pain from the burns that's making it hard for you to sleep, you'd probably do best to use a simple analgesic. If it's something else...."

Doesn't volunteer any other information.

Looks up, now.

It's perhaps an odd group that comes in, a young woman and a man strugging with an unconscious young man.
"We need help. Please."

"Did either of you see what happened?" His hand's already at the patient's throat, finding the pulse.

She doesn't know why, and doesn't need to. Professor Lyon said. It's enough.

"He's bleeding internally. I may have to -- you said no opiates?" he asks over his shoulder at Amy.
no subject
"Professor Lyon said the White Rider was working through him, that he's been physically and emotionally weakened by the experience, that he needs to be treated for shock and looked after, and that it was absolutely imperiative he not be given opiates."
She has noticed Owen's reaction. "Are you all right, Mr. . . ." she trails off, rather surprised to find that she doesn't know the man's name.

Soon he is gone (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/12555581.html?thread=519337021#t519337021).

He's going to need help with this.
"Listen," he says to the girl. "I need you to go out into the bar and find out if there's another doctor here tonight. Any other doctor. Or nurse, or medic of any sort. I'm going to need a second pair of trained hands."

She doesn't know many doctors, but she does find Professor Lyon, who it seems to her should know more about what's wrong, if nothing else. She explains the situation as quickly and precisely as she can (which is rather more quick, and less precise), and the two return a moment later.
"This is Professor Lyon, Doctor."
She'll worry about names later.
