In the depths of the Infirmary, at the very back, light flickers.

A large working area has been set up, with only large posts framing it's four corners and with large machgines working and the center takken up with a work station.

There, working in a full bio-containment suit, is Hank McCoy, working on his latest project. The glittering blue vial sits in the examination tray as he peers at it with scanners and instruments.

Occasionally he glances out towards the oputer Infirmary.

A glow stretches from each post to the other, a full containment force field just in case of a breach or problem At each post there is also an intercom.

And there's silence. Nothing but silence. Only because the bio weapon realized something in all of this confusion. Mainly her adapting to the place among other things. So this is why she's in the infirmary and when she sees Hank she does the only thing she can do.

::Hank, whatever you're doing... stop.::

Because she realizes what it is she gave him. And it wasn't the anti-virus.

His head snaps up and he freezes. Then he slowly, carefully, puts down the instruments he was using and pushes the intercom button.

"Alice? What's wrong?"

The honey blonde looks at Hank. "In all of the getting used to this place and such I screwed up. I gave you a tube of the T-virus. Not the anti-virus."

His eys close for a moment and then he presses a button. The analysis of the virus stoips and the motion in the small lab stops. He checks the scanners and initiates a full sweep for any sign of virus molecules, eyes intent.

When it comes up negative, he nods and breathes deep, then flicks off the conmtainment forcefields, taking out the still sealed vial and holding it out.

"It seems to be still sealed and clean. Do you have the other?"

He doesnt attack her or berate her, just nods. He has done and seen done worse accidents, and no one was hardmed after all. He just wishes his heart rate would slow down some.

It probably wouldn't get him anywhere even if he did attack or berate her. She's just glad she got to him in time. Once the containment forcefield is gone she walks over to him and takes the vial. No offense but she really doesn't trust people with it.

"Didn't mean to nearly give you a heart attack, Hank. As for the anti-virus I'll have to see. If not then when you work on the T-virus I'd rather be with you. Seeing as I've been in close proximity of it for quite a bit and have it running through my system."

"Perfectly understandable. It is yours to do with as you wish, and I would not want it any other way."

he smiles and sits back a little.

"I am doing this to help, not take over. If you think it is too dangerous, so be it. I defer to your expertise."

"I can see if I have the anti-virus. Though it might actually be easier to get an antidote strain from the strain of this vial that I have here in my hand."

It just might work...

"It is possible to forumlate such and I do have the equipment. But a lot more study will be needed before that stage. However, again, it is your choice."

he nods firmly.

"Then I guess we need to get studying then." Because what better way to make an antidote than to work with the virus itself.

he smiles.

"I can set up a second work station here tomorrow and then if you like, we can work on it together. I can show you the work I have done before, which will help, you understand exactly what we are looking for."

"Sounds good to me. Seeing as security was my thing not working with the actual virus itself."

"Excellent."

He stands and shucks out of the outer gear putting it into a waste bin.

"If you will step over ehre, I can get your measurements and have a suit made for you. Even if you have already been exposed, there is no need to contyinue active exposure to the virus."

He holds up a scanner.

"This scan scan your outer body perameters."

"Hank, just worry about you and keeping yourself safe from the virus." She didn't feel like bothering with something that would really do her no good to begin with. And somehow active exposure to the virus didn't bother her like it should.

he raises his eyebrows.... and shakes his head.

"No. If we do this, we do it right, and that means no contaimnation, not chances. We have to take it easy and careful and follow protocols."

His voice was firm as he looked at her.

"This isnt just about your health, this is also about the million other things that could go wrong."

"Fine."

Not that it mattered. But she'd play it his way. For now. And only for now. Because she didn't do too well with people telling her how to protect her body and how not to protect it.

"But it isnt about her. Anything that was an endeavor shared had to be both people working together. He fonoishes the scans fast then nods.

"I will have everything set up by tomorrow."

That maybe the case but its also the person's choice on the exposure that happens to them.

"Those are actually rather interesting."

The scans that they do in the infirmary. Not the suits.

"They can be. I keep a database of scans and try to be prepared should someone be hurt. Sometimes I run comparative analyses to make sure nothing is developing wrongly... other than that, just the sheer knowledge I gain is ... intriguing."

"And what knowledge have you gained so far?"

"That though most humans are a same baseline there are variations amongst the universes. That science and magic work on the same basic levels of energy. That even aliens share some characteristics with humans. That this place is a miracle of advanced genetics coming together. The average person who comes in has slightly better genetics than most. Some have alpmost perfect genes."

"I don't think I've ever seen anyone with perfect genetics."

"There are a few. Many worlds have organizations that mess with genetics or attempt to this or that. There are usually unfortunate or evil outcomes... but sometimes there is good as well."

He shakes his head.

"On my world, i met a version of me from an alternate universe who was just such a being. He had no cares for anyojne save his research."

For a moment his eyes are haunted. Then he smiles.

"Anyway... there is a lot ot learn anywhere. This place just happens to have more of it."

She looked down at the blue vial in her hand then looks at Beast.

"I'm sure we've got more to learn as well."

"Indeed. I am sure we will learn quite a bit. Let us hope that it is knowledge we will be able to use."

He smiles to her and racks the scanner.

"I'm sure that we'll be able to use the knowledge that we find."

he nods.

"Let us hope so. Let us hope so."
