Guppy has briefly taken over a desk in the infirmary office, where he is working quietly. Now and again he shoots a glance over to the infirmary itself.
And there's a bio weapon in the infirmary. There may or may not be something that a doctor can really do for her. Especially when her body is different from a lot of other people's. Her DNA for one has probably been changed do to the T-virus and the doctor might even actually need someone who even knows what the T-virus is. The only doctor she's ever told about it is Dr. McCoy.
Not only that but the whole 'what are you in for' line sounds like you're asking someone who's in a jail cell rather than in an infirmary. Which how in the world she was coaxed into it is a surprise considering she doesn't like them thanks to Umbrella Corp.
He smiles a little. "I know a little about genetic disorders and mutations, but I'm not familiar with the T-virus, unless it has any other names. But I'll do my best okay? If nothing else it may be possible to treat your symptoms until someone who does know about it is around. Have you been seeing any of the other doctors or healers here that I could contact for you?"
"It isn't a genetic disorder though. And the only other name that the T-virus has is the Tyrant virus." She gives him a slight smile. "Alright. And the only other doctor I've even talked to is Dr. McCoy." Yeah, the big blue furry doctor.
Guppy nods. "Will do. Is there anything I can offer you in the meantime? Pain relief for example? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with your condition but if you are human then there should be some ways of helping."
"Thanks, her case is a bit complicated by her system. If it's okay with her, you can observe, but mostly it is going to depend on what is wrong before i know whether or not anything can be done."
Might as well tell the good doctor what the T-virus is.
"The T-virus, otherwise known as the Tyrant virus was something made by Umbrella Corporation. It animates dead cells. If someone is alive when they're infected with it their body shuts down and kills them. If they're already dead, it re-animates them. Turns them into a zombie."
"Essentially it utilizes standard viral funtion to infect and dertroy all but the lower functions of the brain and then create a contant power source within the body. Thus the being created is mindless and feral.... and basically given life anew, much like legendary zombies."
hank eyes the scanner as it turns for it's second pass.
"On Alice here, it somehow mutated, and her structure has been altered, hence a deeps can so as to not somehow screw up her current system trying to help her."
"The only known anti-virus I gave to Hank in order to see if he can come up with a cure. Otherwise there are no actual anti-viruses. The anti-virus isn't something I would take anyways. Only because the T-virus has bonded with my body on a molecular level for some odd reason."
She watches Guppy for a moment.
"The only way anyone can be infected is if they're scratched or bitten. You see the T-virus was thought up by a man who's daughter couldn't walk. He injected his daughter with it in just the right amounts and it helped reanimate the dead cells essentially allowing her to walk again."
She closes her eyes a bit.
"Umbrella Corporation specializes in viral weaponry. Anything that kills I'm sure they'd enjoy."
Hank growls under his breath, that part of him who is biochemist extemely offended by these assholes, but he goes on as the scan completes.
"Okay.... looks like your body isnt liking the drugs that apparently have been injected into you. More likely the T-virus doesnt like them. I can begin a flush of your system and give you something to help break it down faster. That way you should regain full mobility and sensation just fine fairly quickly. Plus a carteful and weak stimulant to give you a better energy surge to help."
he nods.
"The monitor should have the drugs needed in the trays.. We can set up an iv push line for the flush and use the henerator to make sure it goes through."
"Somehow that doesn't surprise me. They do this every damn time they experiment on me."
Considering that this what... makes the third... no, fourth time that they've experimented on her. And every damn time her body either feels like lead, she doesn't have her memories or some new abilities form thanks to the T-virus. She's not sure she wants to know what the T-virus did to her body this time.
"It'll happen. Just be as patient as you can. there may be some pins and needles feelings as more feeling is restored. Drugs like this can sometimes have side effects, so if you feel sick or any other things happen, let me know, please."
Or as patient as she really could be. The bio weapon looks over at Guppy before giving a nod to his question. "Yeah." You don't take meds without water, unless its the type of meds that forbid it but still.
Hank works quickly, but soon the IVC is in and generator working. he nods.
"From here it is a matter of waiting a while, at least a couple of hours, but then, the drugs should be flushed from your system. Your feeling should improve then."
She could probably care less about the machine. Machines have caused her enough problems in her life. Her guns... now those didn't cause her any trouble. They save her life. Well... let's give the good ol' Doc something else to do so he doesn't feel like he isn't doing anything. She takes the glass of water and gives a slight nod. "Thank you. A magazine works. If it deals with weaponry that makes it even better."
She gives a slight nod to Guppy before he heads out and when the wait rat returns she takes the magazine and thanks it. That was still a bit weird to her but she'd get over it.
He covers her with a light sheet and blanket and Aesclepius is sent for some loose clothing which he returns with immediately. He sets those next to the bed so she will be able to reach ehtm when she feels up to it.

"Hello, are you okay?"
Silly question really. If she was okay she probably wouldn't be in here. But it's a better opening line than 'so, what are you in for?'.

"Doubt I'd be in here if I was okay."

"I know both of the Doctors McCoy, so hopefully we should be able to get in touch. Are we talking about Hank, the blue furry one, or the other one?"
no subject
"There's another one? I'm talking about the blue furry one."

"Alice? "
he winces.
"How bad is it?"
no subject
"My word that was quick. Anything else I can do Hank?"
no subject
"I'm not too entirely sure how bad it is. That might be something you'd have to check out yourself."
no subject
"I'll run a full spectrum scan then."
To Guppy he smiles.
"Thanks, her case is a bit complicated by her system. If it's okay with her, you can observe, but mostly it is going to depend on what is wrong before i know whether or not anything can be done."
The scan starts up and runs over her.
"It will take a few minutes for a full scan."
no subject
"What is the T-virus exactly?" he asks whilst they wait for the scan results.

"Do you still want this?" he asks Hank. "Sorry, when I wasn't sure if you were around analgaesia was all I had to offer."

he sets up the equipment, shooting the stimulant into her and beginning the flush.
"You should start to feel some more energy soon, but full mocvement may take awhile."
no subject
He watches quietly, ready to do anything Hank needs.

Because lets face it, sitting around on dialysis, or its equivalent, is hardly much fun, even if you do find the machine interesting.

"I am sure that Bar has some such magazines. "
he eyes the monitors.
"Is there anything else you want? otherwise I will be in the office in case of need. Speak out loud if you need anything an I will come immediately."

He starts to head out, then remembers something and nips back into the office. He shoves a load of paperwork into a single, neater pile.
"Sorry Hank, briefly invaded your desk there." he explains, before disappearing off to get the magazine.
It comes via the infirmary wait rat
whose name the mun can never remember but begins with an A.no subject
She gives a slight nod to Guppy before he heads out and when the wait rat returns she takes the magazine and thanks it. That was still a bit weird to her but she'd get over it.

"Very well. I will see you later then."
he nods to her and turns towards the Office.
