A rather bloody man enters the infirmary, glancing around rather calmly considering his condition.
"Hello? Can I get some help here?"
Eddie's feeling quite calm now that he's gotten to Milliways. And that's surprising, since he's bruised, bloody, and all around beaten all over. Not to mention his arm was quite recently broken, and the bone can be seen stabbing outwards from his skin at a rather unhealthy angle. Maybe he's simply gone into shock. Or denial.
Any and all medical attention would be lovely, considering he's lost a lot of blood and dying is not on Eddie's to-do list yet.
[ooc: I hope that was alright. I wasn't sure how to set that up so if it needs to be changed in any way, say so. First time I've had to drop a pup in here.]

"I'm Dr Guppy Sandhu." he says, switching on the nearest moniter and gesturing to the bed. "What's your name?"
no subject
Cradling the wounded arm, Eddie follows him towards the bed and sits on the edge, unsure how he's going to lie down without disturbing the bone. Then again, it's pretty hard not to anyways.
"I'm really, really hoping you can fix this."
no subject
"Can you tell us what happened?" he asks, checking his vitals first.
no subject
"Would you believe I tripped?"
It's getting slightly harder for Eddie to speak, what with his face being somewhat swollen and all. But damn, he'll be sarcastic to the end!
...he's clearly spent too much time trying to kill Spider-man. The bastard's bad sense of humor has rubbed off on him.

Guppy winces a little.
"To be honest with you, no. We're not the police or security here, and you will be protected here. You don't have to give names or anything but if I'm to treat you I need to know what happened."
He gets the scanner out and starts running it over Eddie. "Were you knocked unconscious?"
[ooc: The scanner should pick up more or less anything. Is there anything other than the injuries above that it should detect? Eg past damage.]
no subject
"We can't do anything about it if it happened in your world, anyway", Kevin adds.

"No, I don't think I was unconscious...but I guess I can't be sure. A wall fell on me after I took the beating. I might have been out of it for a bit."
Beat.
"And to answer your question, I got into a fight trying to take back what's mine. And...well, I lost. Really, really badly."
no subject
"Okay Eddie we're going to assume you were knocked unconscious for now then." Guppy says gently, shining a torch in the man's eyes briefly.
He then glances at the scanner.
"It looks like you've broken several ribs beside your arm, although they don't seem to be penetrating anything vital. How are you feeling apart from the pain?"
He glances over at Kevin, happy to let the other doctor take the lead if he knows any better. Guppy is quite used to everyone around him being more qualified and experienced.
no subject
"And is there anything else we should know?" he chips in.
no subject
He gives the scanner a look, having never really seen something like it before, then turns his attention to the other doctor's question.
"Um...well, not much, I think. The injuries will probably tell you most of it."
There is a brief pause.
"Probably not important, but the guy I was fighting with wasn't really...well, human. He broke my arm like a twig, so I don't know how bad he hurt me."
no subject
"And do you have any long term health problem, any previous diseases or allergies we should know about?"
He turns to Kevin. "Any chance we can cross-match some blood, just in case?"
no subject
no subject
"No, can't really say I do remember. A lot's happened and I haven't had to know that in awhile."
When Guppy asks if he's human, and if he has previous diseases, Eddie gives him a look.
"Yes, I'm human. And yes, I have a long-term health problem. It's called cancer."
no subject
Guppy winces. "Yes, that sort of thing is important. Can you tell us more about it and what treatment you've had?"
He gently pulls Eddie's shirt up to check his abdomen. "Sorry about the human question, we get all sorts in here."

"My brain, I think."
You'd think it would be the sort of thing you'd remember, but severe trauma and years of insanity make his memory a bit foggy.
"All I know about it is I've only been given about a month or two to live. I don't know much about it."
no subject
Guppy sighs a little. He watched his own father die of a brain tumour over the New Year so he knows just how devastating it can be.
"I know we have an oncologist in the bar now, Dr Wilson. Might be an idea to find him at some point. He may be from a time later than yours, who can say."
He rubs his forehead. "Are you on any medication?"
no subject
Eddie's feeling less aware of his surroundings now, trying his best not to become dizzy.
"Is this...going to take long? I...I'm not feeling too hot."
no subject
"I think we could do with that blood Kevin. I'll give you something for the pain and then we can have a look at that arm."
He glances over at Kevin. "Do you have any orthopaedics experience?"
[ooc: And the mun would like to apologise at this point for any medical innacuracy as she is not a doctor. Yet.]

no subject
"Something for the pain...that sounds great..."
[ooc: Mun's also no doctor, nor will he ever be one for that matter, so I leave the medical stuff to you two.]

He draws up the painkiller and administers it.
"That's morphine, it should start to kick in pretty quickly." he says.
He starts to take a look at the hand, checking the blood supply. He pokes each finger with a thin pointy stick.
"Can you feel each of these? Any loss of sensation or pins and needles?"
no subject
The pain does indeed dull quite quickly, leaving Eddie in a lot less agony. "Um...I can't really feel much below shoulder on that arm, Doc'. The bone is...kinda...snapped in half."
no subject
"Okay Eddie, this is going to hurt."
He goes through a brief mental textbook resume and takes hold of the arm.
Fifteen seconds later
and with utter shameless handwavingthe bone is in the right place."Can you feel anything now?" he asks, hoping that this has sorted out the musculocutaneous nerve because otherwise he's going to need an orthapaedic surgeon. And he doesn't have one.
no subject
"Yeah, I think so. I can feel it now."
no subject
"Good. Sorry about that, but the position of the bone was threatening the nerve. What we do next is up to you. I can put it in plaster and it should heal within six to eight weeks, although I'd like to scan it first to make sure it's in exactly the right place. Or you can wait a bit until I find Hank, who has a device that can fuse bones. I'd do it myself but I'm not familiar with the equipment. In any case, I would recommend that you stay here overnight for observation as you were possibly knocked out. What would you like us to do?"

"'The blue fuzzball' is a very good friend and colleague of mine. Perhaps it would be wise to hold judgement until you know him better. If nothing else, he's one of the most qualified and experienced people here, so you may need him some time. I do what I can, but I've only been qualified a year and a half."
He gets out the plaster and starts to put a cast on the bone.
