The Infirmary was the usual solace of sounds and quiet. a mixture. In one corner, a quiet man, garbed in white, sat at the bedside of his beloved. Magius hadnt moved from Nina's side since she arrived. the joy of seeing her and the love he felt for her kept him there. He did however occasionally fall asleep.

Amanda walks into the infirmary she can hardly believe that Nina is back. So many questions race through her mind. How? being the first and foremost. Amanda honestly isn't sure what she feels, her body is still numb with shock. Even seeing Nina lying in the bed it's hard to know what to feel as she has already been coming to terms with her friend being dead.

Her body moving almost without command from her mind she grasps Nina's hand in hers as she had the last time her friend was here.

Nina wakes up after a moment. Her eyes are clear and lucid today.

"Amanda?" she says softly.

"Nina." Amanda sounds a little shoked as she hadn't expected to ever hear her friends voice again.

The immortal just doesn't know where to begin.

"Hi," seems like a good enough place to start, so Nina starts there.

And looks down at her hand, held in Amanda's. "I'm back."

"So I can see." she smiles briefly.

"How?"

Nina is silent on that. Shakes her head, doesn't reply. Keeps her head lowered. "What did I miss?"

"Not much really." Just her break down. "Everything has been mostly quiet. At least on my front. Been training and the like. I had been bound for a while there." this is a little awkward. Amanda is a little too confused to be able to just pretend like nothing has happen, but it has.

Her eyes fall on Nina's hand, "Nina. are you alright?"

"I'm better." She gives her a small smile, her eyes lighting up briefly. "Grateful to be alive again."

Amandas smile widens a bit briefly. "That's good." looking around, "Do you think you'll need to be in here long?"

"Only a week or so--that's what the big, furry blue guy said." Nina nods over to Hank's side of the room.

Her smile glitters with sudden mischief. "D'you still have the Dresden Green?"

Amanda's eyes follow Nina's gesture and smile, "That's good."

"Well, not exactly." she doesn't quite know how to put this.

"What happened to it?" She tilts her head, considering.

[ooc: Must slowtime for a bit, say sorry--be back soon. ;)]

"Well. I will get it back. It has just gone missing. I'm pretty sure that I know who has it." leaning in closer, "Nina this is just between us alright." this is something that she hasn't told anyone. "I think Desire has it."

"Desire?" Nina's never heard of the Endless before.

Amanda takes a seat, "Yes. Desire. One of the Endless. It seems to have become something of a game."

Back up a sec, Amanda, Nina's still lost. "Wait--I don't understand--what are the Endless?"

"The Endless. They are Desire, Dream, Death, Delirium, and others. They are just what their names say. Desire is desire. Death is Death." Amanda doesn't fully understand what they are either. She never really asked.

Nina is fully alert now, sitting up straight. "And Delirium--and Dream? They're what their names are, too?"

"Yes. Apparently out back is part of Dream's relm." she says very calmly.

Nina shakes her head, breathing hard, her eyes alert and thoughtful for a moment. If they could help her--if she could find some answers--

Then she sees Amanda, and forces her look back to normal. "And so--Desire took the jewel?"

[OOC: am best friends with Desire's mun. I know about the Endless. But Amanda doesn't]

Amanda is smiling, "I think so. I think we are playing a game."

And in another timeline, nearby, Magius is sleeping on another bed, in clear sight. He hasnt left her side except to sleep when he absolutely had to since she arrived. In his sleep, however, there is finally a smile on his face.
