[oom: After this]
It is the early hours of the morning when Guppy slips into the infirmary. Taking care not to wake the other patients, he picks up a few supplies and goes into the office, closing the door behind him.
He unwraps the bloody bandage on his hand and begins to clean the wound and replace the steristrips.
When he finishes he puts his hand to his head and sips the isotonic drink Bar gave him. He takes it one sip at a time until he had finished the whole bottle, but the feeling of nausea and exhaustion remain.
Too dehydrated. Need to put myself on IV...
He gets up to put himself on a drip but finds the room refusing to stay level. As he collapses on the floor of the office everything goes black. He curses under his breath.
"I can take you to him."
I am NOT going to just sit here and die of dehydration of all things.
He waits until the darkness in front of his eyes clears a little before trying to move. It is a weak, exhausted movement but he somehow manages to get to the sink and pour himself a glass of water. Shakily he takes the glass under the desk and curls back into a little ball.
Abs can't section me if he can't find me.
My Fault
Exhausted by his efforts, he falls asleep.

Then Hank smiles slightly and sits, resting as he works on his laptop quietly.

Disliking the pillow intensely he puts it under the bed.
[ooc: Rachel-mun? I would have tagged back but your reply has disappeared.]

"Got a thing against comfort, Guppy?"
Despite thr chuckles there is only concern in Hank's voice.

He looks up at Hank. "Please don't section me. I snapped out of it and I tried to drink but it was a bit too late. Please don't section me."
no subject
"I wouldnt Guppy. I'm not from your world anyway, but I wouldnt do that to you. Rest, and relax. You will get better in time. Just give yourself time to recover. You wont be getting out of bed for at least most of today."
He smiles slightly.
"You are among friends now."

He looks up at Hank. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get sick."
no subject
"I know you dont, Guppy. You have been throuhg a lot. Dont worry. Things will get better, even if they have been bad."
no subject
"They have to."
His eyes flicker towards the person coming in at the door and widen. He grips onto the bed with the hand without the drip in.
"No, go away. I won't let you section me Abs. I'd rather die."
no subject
"I never said I was going to section you!"
no subject
"Noone is doing anything right now. Except Guppy resting and getting better. You two behave, or I will knock the both of you out."
And his voice is quiet and his eyes are very, very, serious.
no subject
"You're lying. I heard you say it to Aeryn."
"I wouldn't have done it unless I had to. I was worried about you."
Guppy edges away from him, clinging to the top of the bed. Abs ignores Hank at his peril, approaches Guppy and puts a hand on his shoulder trying to calm him down. Which is probably the worst thing he could do because Guppy promptly bursts into tears and curls up into a trembling ball, clinging to the top of the bed.
"Guppy please, I'm your friend, I'm not going to hurt you or take you anywhere."
no subject
"Not now, Abs."
That voice brooks no arguement, nor does the flat stare he levels at Abs. Then he turns to Guppy and gently touches the other man's arm.
"You have to try to rest, Guppy. Come on, straighten out. You will be okay."
His voice is soft and soothing, a quiet rumble.
(ooc: runs back out again to eat)

"It was my fault."

Hank's voice is still quiet and soothing, even if it gets a little stern at the start there.

"Thank you." he says quietly, uncurling.
"Is my father here Hank?"
no subject
"I dont know for certain, but I havent seen him Guppy. I will make inquiries and put in a note for Bar or him to let us know if he arrives, okay? What is his full name?"
no subject
no subject
"Okay. I will put a note in with Bar. Now, you rest."

He lays down and curls up so that the drip is in a good position, then gradually slips back into his disturbed, haunted sleep.
