Hank sits in the Infirmary office, watching the whole area, his eyes alert as he smiles softly.
There are still a lot of hurdles and messes and things to do, but for a moment, just a moment, he rests. Rachel is recovering, hopefully healing just a little, in deep sleep. Paige is slowly healing, Goldy is healing Fast, and though he still doesn't know what is going on with Alessa, he is treating her as he goes.
For the moment, things are as right as they can get in the Infirmary. And he will make them even righter. He isn't the only doctor, not by a longshot. There are good people here and they do good work. He can sit and he can think for awhile, and maybe, just maybe, things will be okay. In the Infirmary.
Inside his own heart? And mind? there is still a lot to deal with. He is reeling from all that has happened in just a few days. And that was a bit of shock too, that they were gone days when it had only felt like hours.
He shakes his head and rises to look around the Infirmary. Then he nods. Time would tell, and it was time to go back to work.

Paige had been healed by Holly (http://www.livejournal.com/community/ways_infirmary/12963.html?thread=527011#t527011) but it didn't seem to have worked so well, the pain was still there now the claw marks were back, not bleeding or fresh anymore, but they were there. It wasn't like in her underworld, the thing that attacked her had been obviously been really, really bad.

'Hank,
I would have found you to tell you this in person but I've been called home. We have a fifth patient, Serena, vampire, no life signs whatsoever. Since she is the living dead I wasn't sure what that meant.
Will be back later this evening. Have you slept yet?
