Infirmary Thread for Hank McCoy
It's the nature of work in the Infirmary; either the days are really quiet... or they're really, really not.
And now suddenly it's really not.
Joly's moving to bring out one of the tables for super-powered patrons as soon as the visitors walk in. "Hello, have a seat-- there-- if you can." If he's startled, he doesn't sound like it. He reaches out to help the apparent patient over to the examining table.

After another moment to catch his breath, he continues, "Rapid, metabolic change. Body...adapting," before he is gasping again.

Joly smiles when Enzo's icon changes. "Good. I'm Joly." No time for the usual pleasantries. "Looks like we need to set up some supplemental lines--fluid, nutrition-- can you handle the actual IV insertion while I set up the solutions?" Enzo is apparently a lot stronger than Joly knows himself to be, and that's looking like it might be relevant.
There's a mass of conflicting information coming through the scanners, but it's starting to stabilize-- at least enough that they can get to work. "Hank? We're going to be giving you a couple of IVs to start."

He may not have a circulatory system himself, but Guppy has taught him quite a number of medical procedures for organics, including how to find a vein and poke it with a needle.

Joly, still close enough, reaches out a hand to rest on Hank's shoulder, with just the slightest indication of pressure to lie down, too. "We'll take care of the work. You just relax as much as you can.--Enzo, the first line should be ready. Hank, you shouldn't feel anything but a quick pinch, that's the needle, all right? Let us know if there's anything else." The computers are great, but it's still better to keep listening to the patient.

Joly smiles; that's all a good sign. He watches for long enough to make sure there aren't any evident problems, then nods to Enzo. "All right, second solution is ready." To Enzo and Hank both he says "This one's nutrition--get back some of that energy you lost getting in here." And that Hank's continuing to lose, as his body does...whatever it's doing that's got the readings bouncing around so much. But that can be figured out when Hank's more stable.

"Thank you," he manages as his eyes close.

Joly watches while Hank's signs stabilize, and nods to Enzo. "There, it looks like he's going to be fine. Thank you, again, for getting him here so quickly, and helping with treatment. I'm on duty for a few more hours; I'll monitor him, and leave a file for Doctor Sandhu."
(ooc: thanks for the thread!)
