It was one of the longest operations Malcolm has had to conduct since his arrival in Milliways. But Bill Pardy is resting and healing in a clean bed in the infirmary now.
Malcolm is dead on his feet (he has to smirk a little as he thinks that), but he decides to stay until Bill comes out of the anesthesia.

"You did well," the goddess had said with a tired smile before she left to find her room, her bed and her husband.

"And thanks also for the help."

"All right, I know, Mary." He entered the infirmary after her, and had to stop himself from cursing out loud in her presence.

Stirring Bill cracks an eye at the voices and blinks up at his visitors. "Nathan, Mary? Hey."

Also some survivor guilt since he knew the only reason he wasn't lying on a bed here was because he already was elsewhere before all of this. And could do nothing to keep Doc and Bill getting the brunt of it.

A small smile to note that, despite appearances, he's okay.

Oh. Yeah.
Taking stock of himself he matches what he sees to what he remembers and mutters a croaky, "Fuck."

"Bill?"
no subject
"Will." He offers a faint smile, "Hey. What's up?"

"Bill are you alright?" he asked as he came near the bed.

"Who did this to you?" he asked urgently, whoever it was was gonna pay.... with their soul, but first Raz was gonna torture them. These thought might have been evident in his tone of voice, and the look around his glowing eyes.

"Was a nightmare." He answers.
no subject
"I can not exact vengeance on a nightmare," he said, angrily and sat down, "Is there anything I can do for you?"
This was indeed troubling, how can Raz help his only friend with dream. He was not happy.
Not happy Raziel = bad.

"Bar, have you seen Bill around?"
The napkin materializes almost instantly; the one-word answer scribbled there leaves her cold.
Infirmary.
She forgets she's thirsty and hurries toward the ward. Steps inside and approaches Bill's bed, swallowing hard when she sees all the bandages.

"Kate..." He swallows and tries to sit up a bit, "Hi."

She's trying to keep her voice even, trying not to imagine what had happened to him.
"Can't leave you alone for a second, can I?"

Her own soft smile fades when she sees the wince he's trying to stifle. She instinctively steps closer, reaching out a hand, but she doesn't want to hurt him, either.
She settles for tugging at the hem of her fitted white T-shirt.
"Want to tell me what happened?"
no subject
His smile is gone along with hers and he shakes his head, looking away from her across the infirmary. "Doctor caught up with me."
