Bruce wasn't expecting any change overnight in their new patient, and he wasn't disappointed. Still, he keeps an eye on the machines, and spends a little time writing down what they know about him. This doesn't take long - the list of injuries is longer than any personal details - but it's his nature to keep records, and it'll save Guppy having to do it later.
They swap in the morning, and he heads off to get breakfast and sleep. He'll be back later.
Through it all, no change from the patient.
Until about lunchtime, when the beeping from the machine picks up. If Guppy's nearby, he'll probably hear the coughing that starts, even before the eyes open.
